  My husband and I contracted Sensational Ceremonies to conduct our wedding ceremony in November 2017 at Treasure Island, FL. Though there are a number of aspects of the ceremony that went well, one major aspect of the ceremony did not go as we agreed-upon, and we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with how our officiant handled this problem at the time, as well as our concerns about the error after the fact.
  
  We had Pastor Brian Jones as our officiant for the wedding. There were definitely a number of things that he did well: he was punctual and responsive; his words and presentation during the ceremony were well-said, and he accommodated to our specific request for playing a custom made song. However, we are very disappointed at his service because he didn’t fully follow the pre-approved ceremony program and made a major change at the last minute without our acknowledgement and approval, which led to an unexpected and undesired addition to the program that severely impacted this special moment between my husband and I; had he adhered to our desired and pre-approved program, or sought out our opinion on the matter with us at the time if he had concerns or was unsure, this situation could have been avoided. During the ceremony, when we prompted him that the program was wrong, he didn’t bother to change it either.
  
  At a later time after the wedding, we reached out to him to express our concerns and give feedback to him about aspects he did well, as well as the aforementioned area we were disappointed in. Although he was responsive to our request to talk, we don’t feel that he acknowledged his mistake/parts that contributed to the mistake in the ceremony, and kept coming up with excuses. At one point of our conversation, he noted that we didn’t express gratitude toward him for pronouncing our names correctly and for spending time to prepare the ceremony. He thought we were ungrateful because we didn’t tell him thank-you right after the ceremony (when we were trying to sort out what happened and preoccupied with other people). Additionally, he proceeded to tell us that we should focus on the long-term positives of our relationship instead of the mess up at the ceremony; though we see the value of his advice in focusing on the positives, the aforementioned ceremony error nonetheless made a major negative impact to our special day, and we were EXTREMELY disappointed at how he handled our concerns (not being more apologetic, and not expressing understanding of how much an impact it made on our day and how he should have done things differently to have avoided this).
  
  We just wanted to share our experience here with you all, so you could make an informed decision when selecting an officiant/company. Thank you for reading my review!
